IN THIS LESSON
Do we really understand the Perfection of Christ?
Had Jesus lived only a morally “perfect” life, blameless and innocent, yet not been obedient and offered up his life in death, then his work would not, could not have been complete. He simply would have been an exemplary teacher and example to admire. He would have just been a really great picture of what a law-keeper looks like. Unfortunately, all His “law-keeping” would do diddly squat if, in the end-zone, he fumbled the ball by not becoming obedient through death. It was not a “morally perfect” life that gave him all authority in Heaven and Earth. It was that Jesus’ learned obedience to death that secured his exaltation to immortality and gave him that highest seat of authority.
In this lesson we learn just how powerful Jesus is as the Word of God and just what he gave up in order to become like us in every way in order to save us in every way.
